News Talk 770 welcomesAntigona Soledad Barrio and Noche Flamencaat the Bella Concert Hall in the Taylor Centre for the Performing Arts, on March 10.
The story of Sophocles’ classic play Antigone resonates with the roots of flamenco, which is based not in any one culture or region, but on the strength of family. Noche Flamenca’s Artistic Director Martín Santangelo was inspired to create a flamenco interpretation focusing on her humanity and her quest to bury her brother, regardless of the circumstances.
The mission of Noche Flamenca is to create a diverse theatrical body of performance through song, music and dance that expresses a rigorous, spell-binding aesthetic in the form of flamenco.
