A heritage home in the Hillhurst area of northwest Calgary was damaged in a two-alarm blaze on Friday night.
Fire crews arrived on the scene after receiving calls about the fire before 9 p.m. to find dark smoke and flames coming from a home on 10A Street NW.
The home was evacuated of its four residents before the Calgary Fire Department arrived.
Two occupants of a neighbouring home were also ushered out due to the growing fire, said a news release.
The home in question sustained damage, as did homes on either side of it.
Early reports say that the smoke alarms in the home where the fire began were not working.
There have been no reports of injuries as a result of the fire. The Calgary Fire Department is investigating the cause.
