Public school trustees have voted unanimously to close Juno Beach Academy in the southeast.
Enrolment has been steadily falling at the school in Acadia that focuses on Canada’s military history.
In 2008 there were 195 students. This year there are just 15 students left with five of them graduating this year.
It’s believed the remaining students could finish their schooling at nearby Lord Beaverbrook High School.
The closing school will be used as an overflod facility during Lord Beaverbrook’s modernization.
The closure is expected to save the board over $300,000.
