Police are looking for a man wanted in connection with a string of identity thefts and bank frauds.
Investigators say a man entered a bank in the 300 block of Shawville Blvd. on Aug.10 and withdrew a large amount of cash using a fake ID that matched the personal information of one of the bank’s clients.
The man used the same fraudulent ID to withdraw money at three more banks that day.
Police believe the man withdrew cash from at least 14 other banks in and around Calgary between August and early November. It’s alleged he took over $150,000.
50-year-old Jerry William Lyons is wanted on multiple warrants. He’s described as 5’9” tall, with a slim build, thinning light brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
