Premier Rachel Notley’s office tweeted a warning Friday about fake social media accounts, with the NDP MLA for Red Deer-South now thanking the public for alerting her to a couple of them.
Someone had setup fake Facebook and Twitter accounts in Barb Miller’s name.
They led to angry, profanity-filled comments aimed at Miller and the provincial government, when anti-pipeline remarks were posted on them.
On her ‘real’ Facebook page, Miller said the fake account appears to have been started on the 13th of September, Facebook has been informed, and “the people will be dealt with.”
Miller added she also had nothing to do with the twitter account attached to the page.
They have since been taken down. (td)
