It wasn’t a record breaking season for the Calgary Stampeders as they lost tothe Montreal Alouettes in their last regular season game. Stamps will play the west final at home on November 20th. The Stamps are on the board first with Rene Paredes with his 55th field goal of the season making it 3-0 Calgary. At the end of the first quarter the Stampeders had a 5-0 lead of the Al’s.
The Alouettes had the first touchdown of the game with about a minute left in the quarter and with the extra point it was 7-5, Montreal at the half.
Nick Lewis is now tied for 4th in CFL history with Darren Flutie with 972 pass receptions.
The Al’s had another touchdown half way through the third making it 14-5 Al’s. Calgary prevented another Montreal touchdown with 2:03 left in the third and it stayed 14-5 going into the 4th.
Al’s get another field goal to open scoring in the 4th making it 16-5 Montreal. Rene Paredes tied the Stamps field goal record on a season with number 56 making it 16-8 Alouettes. And that was the last scorning play of the game as the Calgary Stampeders wrapped up their regular season on a low note with their second loss of the season. Calgary sits at 15-2-1 on the season and don’t know who they will be playing in the West Final. That game goes November 20th at home kickoff at 2:30pm pregame show right here on News Talk 770.
