Calgary Police are trying to figure out what caused an SUV to leave the road and crash into a tree in Southwood this morning, killing its driver.
It happened just before 4 o’clock in front of a home in the 800 block of 104th Ave. S.W.
EMS attempted to revive the driver who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Staff Sgt. Paul Stacey talked to Global news
“It looks like speed was involved. There’s a significant amount of damage. It doesn’t look like any impaired, at least by alcohol, was an issue so we’re really curious as to what caused this crash.”
Police have not released the age or gender of the victim. The investigation continues.
