The story of Toronto’s late mayor, Rob Ford, will be in bookstores before the end of the year.
Ford’s brother Doug today announced the tell-all book which will bring the public the story of “Ford Nation.” The book was co-written by the Ford brothers. Doug Ford says they were working on it when Rob Ford was diagnosed with cancer in 2014.
At a Toronto news conference this morning, Ford promised the book would shake up the political and media worlds. He says it will “call out” members of the media he claims lied about his brother and other politicians who had substance abuse issues. “It’s no holds barred with the media. You’re going to be named in here. There’s no politician safe in this country–when this comes out–from the prime minister, to the premier, to the mayor. It’s going to rock the media world. It’s going to rock the political world.”
He says critics and the media have told their story about Rob Ford for years, but the book will reveal the “untold story.” Ford also says he will be making an announcement about running for office within about a year. He did not say whether he would run federally, provincially or municipally.
Ford Nation: Two Brothers, One Vision – The True Story of the People’s Mayor by Rob Ford and Doug Ford will be published by Harper Collins in November.
