Today, ASIRT concluded their investigation in the shooting death of Anthony Heffernan. ASIRT found that the officer that shot and killed Heffernan would not be charged.
Back in March of 2015, CPS were dispatched to a Super 8 hotel after Anthony Heffernan did not check out of his room. When police found him he was high on drugs and refused to cooperate with police. When he lunged at police he was shot by an officer.
