Connor McDavid’s scored his first goal of the World Hockey Championship Sunday, leading the team to a 2-0 win over Finland for the title.
Cam Talbot made 16 saves for the shutout.
It’s the first time Canada has taken the title back-to-back since 2003-2004.
Matt Duchene added an empty-net goal with one second left on the clock to lock down the win.
After the game Russian President Vladimir Putin made an appearance and congratulated team Canada calling them the “founding fathers of ice hockey.”
