A grade nine student from St. Matthew School took the reigns from Naheed Nenshi on Wednesday, as Erin Novakowski was Mayor for the day.
Novakowski got the run of the place at City Hall, including the chance to talk about and advocate for issues that are close to her heart.
Novakowski tells NewsTalk770 that while she may only be in her early teens, we shouldn’t rule out a possible run at this full time.
“I mean, possibly, there are a lot of years between now and then, so things could change. But, maybe!”
The one-day Mayor also pushed her want for a more accessible Calgary, as well as more funding into compost initiatives and helping the homeless population.
