News emerged today that former Flame Jonas Hiller has signed a deal with a Swiss League team for the next three seasons. This gives Hiller a chance to go home, presumably, to wrap up his career. Good luck to him.
He should be remembered as a player who was strong in the playoff season of 2014-5 but fell off the map last year. The decision to bring back three goaltenders, including Hiller, this year was part of the Flames weak start. Now that isn’t an issue.
At least it give the organization some clarity moving forward. Next up, Backstrom and Ramo hit the market!
