Calgary could see a century-old weather record smashed today if the forecast holds up.
According to Environment Canada the previous record high for Calgary on April 19th was set in 1910 when the temperature hit 26.7 degrees.
Global Meteorologist Jordan Witzel is forecasting a high of 27 degrees.
Across the province yesterday, 29 temperature records were broken yesterday, including a 100 year old record in Edmonton where the mercury hit 26.2 degrees.
But the downside is the dry conditions which have led to many fire bans across the province.
33 regions in Alberta are under fire advisories, restrictions or full-fledged fire bans.
