It’s that time of year again street sweeping has begun in residential neighbourhood’s.
The city’s Transportation Department Spokesman Sean Somers tells Newstalk770 the mild winter has given crews a head start on the clean-up and crews will be making even quicker work of the gravel this time around.
He says,”We’re going to be sweeping seven days a week. So the key there is just keep an eye out for the signs in your neighbourhood. They will tell you which days the sweepers are going to be in your community and when you do see those signs be a good neighbour so our crews can get in there and do as good a job as possible.”
Sweeping will last up to 2 days per community and will be completed by the end of may early June.
If you choose to ignore the parking bans in your neighbourhood a new bylaw means you could be ticketed and towed.
