That was considered, we’re told, by the University of Michigan to help students overcome the trauma of the Donald Trump election as President-elect of the United States.
Just one example of a post-secondary education facility protecting the adult-young from the democratic result of an election. This, along with similar activities was taking place on Remembrance Day (or Veterans Day in the U.S.)
It’s pointless isn’t it, to inform young people weeping and seeking a safe space in the wake of the election of their next president that Remembrance Day is the day we pay respect to other generations of college-age youth who battled literally to the death for the ideals of freedom and democracy.

In Ontario two by-elections. Could the one Liberal win in Ottawa-Vanier signal voters are prepared to hand Kathleen Wynne the keys to government again? My feeling is left of centre political parties may be in for a difficult time at the polls for a while. Perhaps quite a while.
And is 19 too young to be a sitting member of the Ontario legislature, as Sam Oosterhoff will be for the PC’s after one of the by-elections?
