Remembering 2012!

What a year for Southern Alberta and the local sports scene! As we look ahead to 2013, I bring you my top 10 stories from 2012. This list truly is a reflection of the good, the bad and the ugly.
10. – CalgaryRoughnecks
The Roughnecks rolled through the 2012 NLL season with 12 wins clinching top spot in the Western Division and securing home field advantage through the playoffs. The team was favored to win their 3rd league title but stumbled in a semifinal playoff loss at home to the Edmonton Rush. Rookie GM Mike Board used Head Coach Dave Pym as the scapegoat as Pym was fired and replaced by Curt Malawsky.
9. – World Cup Mania
On February 13, 2013 we will celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the 1988 Winter Olympics. The lasting legacy was alive and well in 2012 as Southern Alberta hosted a record number of World Cup and World Championship ...

There are only two more chances to qualify for the Lexus IS 250 Convertible. As you know, we are giving away this car for the summer! A 3 month lease, $1,000 in gas and the insurance is covered by Tammy Truman and the Cooperators. The lucky 50 will join us at Calgary Lexus next thursday and one person will drive away in the most beautiful car I have ever driven! Not only does it have heated seats, it has air conditioned seats! Anyway, we will qualify one more listener on sportstalk tonight and then the final qualifier will happen tomorrow night.
By the way, there has been some speculation that after the Memorial Cup in Brandon, the Calgary Flames will promote Kelly Kisio to assist Daryl Sutter. I like Kelly and he did tell us on sportstalk he would like to go back into the NHL. I only have ...

The top was down all weekend on the Lexus IS 250 convertible! As you can see from the picture we took a cruise out to Black Diamond but I wouldn't let my kids eat thier ice cream in the car!
Did get insulted today however at Western Pump. Ran into one of our listeners and he asked me if I was Bruce Kenyon (lol). I said "no", he's much older, bigger and much uglier!
Anyway, looking forward to another hot week with this beautiful ride and we are planning a trip to Banff on the long weekend.
