Claire Spencer
A native Calgarian, Claire has only moved away once to pursue her radio career. But after just over a year, was back in her city working on air. Claire studied broadcasting in high school and also completed SAIT’s broadcasting program in 1999 at the young age of 19. Claire has worked for many radio stations and also works in television, doing helicopter breaking news and traffic for Global Calgary.
Claire feels the best part of her job is flying over rush hour instead of being in it! She loves traffic and reporting on it. When she’s not in the helicopter Claire is the wife of a soldier, mom to a beautiful little girl and loves to sing, dance and enjoy a glass of good wine.

Jim King
Born and raised in Calgary, Jim has been in the broadcasting industry since 1996, and has worked for various radio stations in and around the Calgary area. Most recently, Jim has providing helicopter traffic reports for QR77 and Global Television
Over the years he has seen tremendous growth in the city of Calgary, as motorists try to navigate their way through traffic; he does his best to help both listeners and viewers with up to the minute traffic updates.
When not flying high above the city or reporting from the ground, he enjoys spending time with his two beautiful children. He also enjoys camping, being with friends and family. |
