A looooooong off season and two weeks of training camp tedium finally come to an end Friday as the Stampeders get to bang heads against someone wearing a different uniform. I’m not going to get too excited about the first chance to answer all the questions surrounding this team because, quite frankly, it ain’t gonna happen Friday.

The first pre season game is just a chance for the vets to get their feet wet….take a series or two to try stuff out at full speed then give way to those trying to win jobs. How the coaches are able to keep track of who’s where doing what….especially by the time the 4^th quarter rolls around is the most amazing part of pre season game 1!

I’ll be watching Brad Sinopoli and Bo Levi Mitchell to see how the two would be third stringers look. Based on the mock game last weekend….second year SInopoli has the edge so far but I’m admittedly biased in rooting for a Canadian QB. I also want to see how Rob maver looks punting the ball now the job’s been handed to him with the release of Aussie Scott Crough. Other than that….I’m just hoping to have some idea of who’s where and doing what as I debut as the sideline reporter for home games as we launch another season of Stamps football on QR.
