The Redford government will roll out a program next spring  to help pay for insulin pumps.

The Alberta Insulin Pump program will cover costs for the pump and supplies. A pumps cost 5 to 7 thousand dollars and the program will be a means for a person to have costs covered when other avenues have been exhausted.  The estimated annual cost to taxpayers will be 10 million dollars. Who will be eligible for funding still needs to be figured out.
