The Calgary board of Education is scrambling to notify parents after a CBE laptop was stolen containing the data of more than two thousand students .
The board said it was stolen from an employees car that was not on CBE property . The data includes report cards for kindergarten to grade nine students . Students names , photos , CBE and Alberta Education numbers, report card results and comments ..
There was also information on parents name and phone numbers .
The CBE has notified both police and the Alberta Privacy commissioner .
Yesterday principals notified half of the parents involved . The laptop was password protected .
