Alberta Premier Alison Redford is responding to criticism over next year's provincial budget.
Associate Finance Minister Kyle Fawcett said earlier this week that a balanced 2013-2014 budget may not happen, saying it would only be the operating budget, which doesn't include infrastructure.
That drew the ire of the opposition parties, but Redford says nothing has changed since the last time she was asked about budgets.
"We are fully committed to the commitment that we made in last year's budget. We did predict, and I have always said it when I am asked, that this year's deficit would be $950 million."
Finance Minister Doug Horner also clarified the government's position, saying a balanced budget will come in the spring.
