The number of E. Coli cases linked to the XL Foods plant in Brooks has almost doubled today.
The Public Health Agency of Canada says there are now 10 confirmed cases across the country, seven of which are from Alberta.
The agency says another single case was discovered in Newfoundland and two others in Quebec.
These cases have all been linked to the specific strain identified at the plant.
E. Coli was first detected in the plant September 4th, but public alerts weren't issued for 12 days.
A committe is being led by the agency, which also includes public health and safety experts, to determine what steps should be taken next during this recall.
The recall has so many products listed you're advised to inquire where the beef you are purchasing came from before buying.
