A bus ride near Slave Lake ended in terror today.

RCMP say at around 1:30 this afternoon the bus, which was about 20 kilometres southeast of Slave Lake, left the road and struck a wooded area.

Investigators say 15 passengers were injured in the crash, but all injuries were minor.

Mounties suspect a mechanical malfunction may have led to the crash, but the investigation continues.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
