A Calgary woman accused of murdering two of her newborn babies and trying to kill a third will go to trial on her charges. The six-week trial in front of a judge and jury will begin March 25th.
Meredith Katharine Borowiec was initially charged with attempted murder among a host of other charges after a baby boy was found crying in a dumpster at Queens Park Village in October 2010.
A few months later, police laid two second-degree murder charges, as they believe Boroweic gave birth sometime in 2008 and again in 2009 and that both babies died shortly after being born.
Boroweic was in court only briefly this morning, now represented by defense lawyer Jim Lutz, who entered the not guilty pleas.
She said nothing and remains in custody.
