A Calgary man who alleged scammed friends out of thousands of dollars when he faked having cancer is still in hospital.
Kris Kook was supposed to be court today, but his lawyer appeared on his behalf and the case was moved to September 27th.
Kook allegedly faked having cancer and held a fundraiser for himself, collecting more than 7-thousand dollars from friends and strangers last year.
He was sent to hospital after being beaten at the Calgary Remand Center following his arrest in Victoria last week.
