The coffin carrying the body of former Alberta premier Peter Lougheed is now back in Calgary.
It arrived at a funeral home in a white hearse last night around 9:30.

Lougheed's body had been lying in state at the Alberta legislature since Monday after his death in a Calgary hospital last week, and thousands lined up in Edmonton to pay their respects.

A public memorial is planned for Friday in Calgary. It begins at 1:00pm at the Jubilee Auditorium, but public seating is limited and on a first come first serve basis.
