The hearse carrying former premier Peter Lougheed's body will pass by two places that had special meaning for him as it returns to Calgary.The motorcade will drive by Rutherford House in Edmonton where Lougheed lived while attending the Univeristy of Alberta. It will also pass by the Knox-Metropolitan United Church where and his wife were married.
1200 people came to pay their respects Monday to Lougheed at the Alberta legislature where he is lying in state, and the procession of mourners is continuing Tuesday. A public memorial is planned at the Jubilee Auditorium in Calgary on Friday.
