The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has now expanded a beef recall to include Superstore, Sobey's and IGA stores. The national recall also includes Safeway, Walmart and Costco stores.

The  beef  produced by XL Foods in Edmonton may be contaminated by E. coli.  There have been no reported illness associated with consumption of the products.  Consumers who are unsure if they have the affected packages should check with the stores where they were purchased.  

Food contaminated with E. coli may not look or smell spoiled.  Eating food containing the bacteria can cause serious and potentially life-threatening illnesses.   A complete list of the affected products is available at our website,  QR77 dot com.
