A man and his dog are okay thanks to a rescue from the Calgary firefighters Tuesday evening. The department's High Angle Team was called out to a ravine by 40th Avenue and 53 Street N.W at around 6:30pm after a dog made its way into a ravine and couldn't get out. The dog's owner then went after his dog and also got stuck in the ravine. Firefighters, secured to ropes, were able to rescue both the dog and his owner to safety. No one was injured.
