Calgary police have identified the victim of a fatal crash early Sunday morning in the city's southwest.

Investigators say 38-year-old Kelly-Jo Denise Smith was a passenger in a pickup truck that was t-boned by a Mercedes-Benz at the intersection of Sarcee Trail and Bow Trail.

The driver of the pickup suffered serious injuries while the driver of the car had minor injuries that didn't require hospitalization.

A 27-year-old man (Ramandeep Singh Jaswal) will be in court Tuesday to answer to charges of impaired driving causing death, impaired driving causing bodily harm, and refusing to provide a breath sample.
