No one was hurt as fire broke out at an abandoned home in the northwest. It happened at about 5:30 this afternoon in the 1600-block of 46th Street. Neighbours told firefighters no one had been living in the single-story home for quite some time. They searched it to make sure, found nothing and doused the flames. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
