The West LRT construction hits another milestone tonight.
 Smoke testing will begin inside the Westbrook Station.
 Melanie MacKenzie with the West LRT project says it's designed to measure the effectiveness of the ventilation system. She says this is Calgary's first underground station on the C-Train line so this will be testing how quickly smoke can be removed from the station.

MacKenzie says there still some construction work that needs to be completed, including tunnels. 
 After construction is completed, the city will test the all electrical and mechanical systems, then Calgary Transit can begin training drivers.
 The West LRT is expected to open between December and March.
