The Glenmore Aquatic Centre is open again after being shut down for some major cleaning. Two people who recently visited the pool were found to have a parasite called cryptosporidium. Alberta Health Services gave the green light to open the pool after 24-hours was spent adding extra chlorine to the pools and disenfecting the entire space. Those infected with the parasite often experience diarrhea and abdominal cramps that can last up to a month.
