There is a petition on-line calling on the government to either twin Highway 8 or install a barrier between east and westbound lanes to make it safer.
Vicky Le is responsible for the petition and says it was put up in light of two recent fatalities on the highway.
One of them happened Tuesday, the other Thursday.
Le says people can access her petition by going to the website go-petition-dot-com and entering "twin Highway 8."
