Calgary's food truck pilot project has expanded so much that the City has put a cap on the number of applications for new trucks that it says yes to. The pilot started almost one year ago and has seen the number of trucks grown from 10 to 34. James Boettcher of YYCFoodTrucks says the pilot project has allowed them to move to new areas of the city. Boettcher says having different food trucks throughout the city brings vibrancy and the chance for residents to explore other areas where they might not normally go.
