The war of words over the Northern Gateway pipeline is heating up.
B.C. Premier Christy Clark now says if Alberta won't give her province a bigger share of the benefits from the line, the project won't go ahead. Clark says she is ready to fight for BC and talk about the province's five requirements to support the line which would carry Alberta oil to a tanker port in Kitimat, BC. She says the demand for more money is justified because BC would carry almost all of the risk if there is a spill of heavy oil at land or sea.
Premier Redford doesn't agree....she says BC is changing confederation with its demands...she says provinces have always had rights over their resources and Alberta will not share its royalties.
