City council has agreed to take the next step in banning shark fin products from Calgary. 
It gives a whole new meaning to the old Seinfeld quote: "no soup for you".
Council has agreed to draw up a bylaw with the intention to ban the products, including the popular shark fin soup.
The delicacy has come under fire from activists claiming millions of sharks are brutally killed each year, only for their fins.
Mayor Naheed Nenshi will also write a letter to senior levels of government urging a ban on importing shark fin products.
