The Calgary Fire Department has lifted its advisories for the Bow and Elbow Rivers. Officials are still reminding water-goers to use extreme caution and to know the risks. The advisories were originally put into effect a few weeks ago as water levels rose thanks to rainy conditions and spring run-off. Authorities are also reminding users to be careful through the Harvie Passage, as only experienced white-water kayakers should go through, while recreational users need to exit the river ahead of time. Patrols will continue to be done along the two waterways.
