A woman has been taken to hospital following an alleged assault in the city's southeast tonight.

Calgary Police responded to a call of a possible sexual assault at the Mountain View Cemetary.

Police remain at the scene.

They do confirm the alleged offender was known to the victim who is being treated for undetermined injuries that are not considered life threatening.
