Environment canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning as well as a Tornado warning for several Southern Alberta communities.. The areas affected include Red Deer County near Pine Lake ...  Penhold, Innsfail, Mountiain View County,  and Kneehill County. Radar shows a strong rotation on a thunderstorm near Olds. This storm shows potential to form a tornado. Other threats include a large hail, and heavy rainfall.

If a tornado forms, take shelter immediately in a basement or reinforced structure. Get low and put as many walls between you and the storm as possible. Stay away from windows, doors and outside walls. If you are on the highway and cannot avoid the tornado, seek shelter in a ditch or ravine.
