U of C needs a few good dogs

It's not the typical study we hear about from the University of Calgary. Researchers are looking for a few good dogs and asking them for a donation.
It might not be the most pleasant smelling report but it's in the name of science. Six thousand invitations will be sent out to dog owners in 43 Calgary communities to take part in a study. Part of it will be to fill in an on-line survey, the other part will be submitting a sample of your dogs poop.
Anya Smith is a PhD student at the U Of C and is leading the study. She says it's not a public health concern that they're looking at. The hope is to provide some insight into gastro-intestinal parasites, possible sources and the interactions dogs have in an urban environment.
