Proposed Springbank subdivision sparks safety, noise concerns
_News Talk 770

Some conflict brewing in Springbank where Airport Pilots and Businesses are fighting a proposal for a new subdivision on the airport's doorstep.

The County of Rocky View is considering the application Tuesday to create the Harmony subdivision, which could house up to 10 thousand people. Colin McLeod from the Springbank Aiport Business and Pilots Association says the idea doesn't make sense for a couple of reasons.  He says the Association is concerned that residents would complain about noise  in years to come, and he's also concerned about safety issues.McLeod says the pilots association has been fighting this proposal for years, but don't feel that the Rocky View councillors have been listening to their objections.
