The City of Calgary will cap off their Canada Day celebrations with a fireworks display.

The Centre Street Bridge is the launch site and will allow Calgarians to see the fireworks from a variety of Canada Day locations.

Beginning at 8 this evening, the city will close a number of roads and pathways:

- Pathways from Prince's Island Park to 4 Street S.E. and Sien Lok Park to 1 S.E.
- Centre Street Bridge
- Centre Street N from 3 Avenue S to 7 Avenue N
- Samis Rd N.E.
- Memorial Drive south lane from 3 Street N.W. to 4 Street N.E.

These closures remain in effect until 1 a.m. July 2.
