RCMP conducted a safety blitz this week on Highway 63, targeting high-risk drivers.
Between Monday and Thursday,  Mounties were out looking for speeders, seatbelt infractions, unsafe passing and liquor offences, to name a few.
Over 450 vehicles were stopped and police laid 1 impaired driving charge, and charged 7 drivers with speeding in excess of 50 km over the speed limit.
489 tickets for other offences were handed out.
