High River closes Emergency Operations Centre as flood threat appears to ease

The flood watch remains in effect for the Sheep and Highwood Rivers south of Calgary, but it appears the emergency is over.

The rainfall warning has been lifted, and the town of High River says it did not receive the amount of rainfail predicted.

As a result High River is closing it's Emergency Operations Centre. The town says current river levels are still within safe limits in the town, but the situation is being monitored in case it changes.
