Edmonton school policy to be reviewed
Barry Payne
6/26/2012

The Edmonton Public School Board says it will review how students are graded after a teacher was suspended for refusing to stop handing out zeros to students who didn't complete their work.
The board has voted unanimously to launch the review, which will begin after the summer break. High school physics teacher Lynden Dorval is at the centre of the controversy.
His school has a policy of giving students an incomplete for assignments not handed in or tests missed, but Dorval refused to follow it.

I think the School Boards (all of them) should be fired. I have to wonder why on earth we require these boards in the first place??

I have yet to hear one ounce of common sense decisions come out of any meetings

The Edmonton Board could have debated the "no zero" policy even if it meant staying a little late.....It is obvious that the general population is on the side of the teacher
