Police call in extra officers to subdue naked man in Dover

Calgary police continue to investigate a bizarre case in the city's southeast Tuesday morning.  Officers were called to the community of Dover between 2am and 3am.  They found a naked man bleeding with significant facial injuries, all looking self-inflicted.  He had a very high threshold to pain and exhibited extreme strength so additional officers were called. EMS had to chemically subdue him and he was taken to Peter Lougheed Hospital with serious injuries. Staff Sergeant Geoff Gawlinski says the incident is  not determined to be related to bath salts yet, but they are keeping all possibilities in mind.  He says it could have been crystal meth or mental health issues.  Gawlinski says they receive many similar calls each year regarding bizarre behaviour; it's just too early to pin the blame on any one issue.
