The Calgary Board of Education has finally sold the former education centre. The building at 515 Macleod Tr. South has been sold to an investor for 36.5 million dollars , about 7 million more than it's assessed value.

Officials say there were multiple offers on the property.

Proceeds from the sale will be used to repay about 20 million dollars of interim financing for the Dr. Carl Safran Centre and Connaught School.

Realtor CBRE says this is a prime piece of real estate and the buyer, who has not been named has many options, as the property is an entire city block.
