The Calgary Stampeders announced some roster cuts today. 7 players were released in the latest round as the Stamps continue to trim before the season gets underway. Among the cuts is veteran Linebacker Robert McCune, who coach John Hufnagel singled out for his "2 years of hard work and sacrifice." Defensive Linemen KC ASiodu and Renard Williams, D-Backs Tim Clark and Jason Teague were cut along with Running Back Bryson Tucker and Receiver Curtis Walls.

The Stamps regular season begins Canada Day. The team will travel to Regina to take on the Roughriders on Friday in their second pre-season game.
