The city is hitting the open road to get feedback on its transit system.
After a couple of promotional appearances, the bus hit the road Friday morning and picked up some passengers in Signature Park. It's a free ride in a way. Users don't have to pay the fare, but still have to provide feedback both written and by speaking with city officials.
This morning Alderman Richard Pootmans was making the rounds. He says he's keeping an open mind calling the proces a very immediate, very real response to transit riders.
The engagement bus will make its way around the city over the summer.
